A Field, Not a Factory
Some fields are simply different.
Our master grower has known this for forty years —
and now, the cigar finally exists to prove it.
The Plots
Fields he keeps to himself.
In the Cibao Valley, the master grower returns each year to a handful of plots that produce a leaf unlike any other on his land. The reasons are not entirely rational — a particular minerality in the soil, a slope that holds the morning dew longer, a shaded edge near a stream.
He does not always explain. He simply walks the rows in March and decides which fields will become this year's Secrets.
The result is a cigar that tastes more pronounced of place — earthier, with a quiet mineral spine — than anything else we make.
